Packers
Hydraulic, inflatable, flexible and compression packers designed for grouting through tube-à-manchette (TAM) pipes, plus THORBOLT systems for treating water ingress. Compression packers come in reusable or disposable versions, while the hydraulic, inflatable and flexible packers are all reusable. THORBOLT systems, by contrast, are designed for single use, offering a dedicated solution for sealing water leaks.

Frequently asked questions.
A few pointers to help you choose.
How do I choose the type of packer?
The choice of packer depends on several factors, including the equipment already on site (for example oil- or water-operated pumps), the type of grouting to be carried out (directly into the borehole or through a tube-à-manchette pipe) and the operating conditions, as in tunnelling work. The site manager’s preferences and working methods can also influence the choice. The Dai Prà team is on hand to help you find the packer best suited to your equipment and specific job requirements.
How do I choose the packer diameter?
The packer diameter depends mainly on the internal diameter of the pipe or borehole it is inserted into. It is also important to define the grouting method required: whether you want to grout a single section or only the bottom. Based on this information, the correct diameter can be identified and a single or double packer chosen to suit the type of work.
