We are pleased to announce an important collaboration between Dai Prà and Bermad, an international company specialising in the design of hydraulic systems and control valves. We have pooled our expertise and technical know-how to develop a custom-built product for mixing and grouting in geotechnical engineering and environmental remediation.
A system built around site requirements
The goal of the partnership was to design and build a reliable, flexible system for mixing and pumping cement grout. The customised configuration was designed to integrate:
- Homogeneous mixing, even with high-density materials.
- Continuous, steady injection of the grout, minimising cycle interruptions.
- Flexible skid configurations, with the number of grout pumps set to suit the site and the geotechnical design.
- Control of flow rate, pressure and speed, using electromagnetic flowmeters and controlled injection to manage pumping and material flows.
Choosing the number of grout pumps lets the plant be adapted to the job conditions. Parameter control goes hand in hand with this flexibility, providing the information needed to follow the process.
Monitoring, maintenance and production data
The project is aimed at contractors working in environmental remediation, geothermal energy and infrastructure works. The collaboration addressed four complementary areas:
- Operational reliability: integrated sensors to monitor the mix and the process.
- Maintenance: attention to accessibility and to corrosion-resistant materials suited to the operating environment.
- Ergonomics and safety: taking account of operators’ tasks while the plant is in use.
- Digitalisation: recording and analysis of production data to support traceability and quality control.
Technical collaboration and custom solutions
The exchange between Dai Prà and Bermad brought together hydraulic expertise, control technology and an understanding of operational needs. The result is a solution developed for geotechnical and environmental applications, in which mix preparation, pumping and data management are all part of the same design.
This experience strengthens Dai Prà’s work on customised solutions: starting from what the user needs and defining the plant configuration together.
